I found it really awesome how Ragland pointed it out and congratulated him after his on-air interview. Very classy. We have some great players. And a helluva sportscaster!
Mike Kennedy is the epitome of an iron man of sports talk radio on a worldwide scale that comes prepared every game with total professionalism. We Shocker fans are blessed to have him.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.
When I was living in Wichita, I used to catch him on the radio broadcasts. I never miss Mike on the internet broadcasts. I think of those 1000 broadcasts he done, I missed 3.
A -- Mike Kennedy: Wichita State's play-by-play voice announced his 1,000th consecutive game Sunday when the Shockers defeated UNLV at Koch Arena. Kennedy has not missed a game since beginning his career in November 1980. "One thousand games, and he's never lost any of them," WSU coach Gregg Marshall quipped.
