During the Valley preview show, Elgin says that the new TV package is far, far bigger and better than the old one.

He says that the games that in the old package that were on the MVC network (FSKC, FSMW, Chicago Comcast) were available in 10 million homes, in the new package the MVC network games will be available on TV in over 66 million homes with the addition of the Fox College Sports national tv. Plus those games will also be available on the internet via espn3.

He also said that the Valley may have the best arenas in the country for college basketball and they have installed state of the art camera systems in 14 arenas to make sure that the referees get the calls right (the refs will get the best looks possible when they use instant replay).

He also said that the Valley has a 2 year contract with the Scott Trade Center, so ARCH MADNESS will be there for at least the next 2 years.

Las Vegas Insider.com did a MVC preview on December 1. It is not real flattering but it seems pretty realistic. Basically the guy says that CU has to win all of their remaining non-con games to get serious at large consideration and we have to beat UNLV:

          So?

Okay, 1989 -- thanks for the article, but is there some reason we should consider Vegas Insider an authoritative predictor of who's likely to get into the NCAA and how? Personally, I always scoff at The Mighty Lunardi at this time of year, because it's just too early. I don't see any particular reason to take this guy any more seriously.
