Wow! There have only been 11 triple doubles in Shocker history by only 5 Shocker players with Fred's being the only one in the last 48 years. Could you pick anything tougher to predict?

      Points, Rebounds, Blocked Shots:

      Gene Wiley 12 13 15 Purdue (12/11/1961)
      Gene Wiley 17 16 12 Santa Clara (12/21/1961)
      Gene Willey 22 23 10 Tulsa (1/18/1962)
      Gene Wiley 12 15 12 Louisville (1/27/1962)

      Points, Rebounds, and Assists:

      Dave Stallworth 19 12 10 Saint Louis (1/16/1965)

      Warren Armstrong 18 12 10 So. Illinois (12/20/1965)
      Warren Armstrong 33 21 12 Arizona St. (12/11/1967)
      Warren Armstrong 29 13 10 Memphis (1/13/1968)
      Warren Armstrong 19 19 12 Loyola (2/26/1968)

      Terry Benton 20 22 10 Tulsa (1/29/1972)

      Fred VanVleet 10 10 11 Missouri St. (2/7/2015)

But of the 3 guys you have listed I will go with Erik as the most likely of the 3 if it happens. The odds are against it happening anytime soon.

Warren Armstrong's 33 point, 21 rebound and 12 assist performance against Arizona State is off the charts. But would it not be fun to have a rim-protector like Gene Wiley again that could put together a points, rebounds and blocked shots triple-double again.

Not likely because we have 8-10 contributors and we have balance

I went the Sherfield, but didn't ES get close on a game this year?

                  For points/ rebounds/assists

                  JB has a 7/8/11 and a 10/8/5
                  ES has a 19/8/4 and a 8/8/9

JB will have more opportunities due to having the ball in his hands more. I can see both getting double/doubles with pts and rbs. I just don't see ES getting enough chances for assists. Crazy because he is probably our best passer on the team

Thanks for sharing this information; as I have posted previously, Gene Wiley was my first Shocker idol growing-up on the wheat farm and Warren (Armstrong) Jabali became my all time favorite Shocker (as I have also posted I had the privilege of meeting/knowing him).

I'll take Burton. Some game when Stevenson and Etienne both happen to be on.

Hard to believe the "X-Man" Xavier McDaniel never had one.

When he got it he usually shot it one of th best turn around jumper you will ever see. Points and rebounds. He was a double double machine.

He led the nation in scoring and rebounding... can't recall if it was one or two years? Pretty sure it was his senior season.

Just his senior year. I was the first player to ever do it and one of only 2 (3?) to do so.
