Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

I like the fact that we have a gimme (Fullerton) coming up before we hit the home stretch of our non-conference schedule. Those losses in Puerto Rico were a killer. However, if we can sweep UNLV, @ Tulsa, and Utah State, then we will at least stay in the at-large conversation with a good showing in MVC play. Gotta sweep those though. No room for error. Zip. Nada.
We looked so much more confident tonight. I think one more game of adjusting to a frontcourt-first mentality will be a difference maker. Garrett and Carl can assert their will against every single team in the MVC (except possibly Creighton).

Fun game to watch. My seats were fantastic! Took the opportunity to spoil my family a bit. We were on the jumbotron 11 times...just having a good time. Loved the way GS played tonight! I did notice that he missed CH open on the block a few times. His game has come a long way. The rest of the team seemed to play more under control and worked better together. Good game and go Shox! When your not practicing, someone somewhere is and when you meet him...he'll beat you.

That's simply a typical, defeatist, exaggerated, over simplification of the situation by the board pessimist.
Would we be in better shape with a win over Temple or Alabama? Of course. But an overtime loss didn't put the Shocks in a zero room for error position.
Thin? Yes, but (news flash) IT'S ALWAYS THIN for WSU!!

I am glad we had over 11,000 but it is too bad we didn't get closer to filling the place. IBA just doesn't seem to have the energy that Koch has but I have no complaints otherwise.
The Tulsa game did have a better atmosphere than this game, but it was a much closer game against an old time rival so it should have.
I don't think anyone should complain about their seats this year. They had plenty of opportunity to buy just the kind of seat they wanted.
And just like last year, parking was no problem and getting in and out of downtown was no problem.

Good win and a fun night. I hope everyone that got out for something different for a change enjoyed it. Koch's atmosphere cannot be matched but the IBA experience is a unique one that's nice to have as well. Lots of out-of-town family members got to watch the Shocks romp UAB in a first-class venue. 11,200 ain't bad and far exceeded what projections looked like a couple weeks ago. Hopefully an even better opponent and more reasonable ticket prices will be available for next time. It would be a guaranteed sellout.
To those of you who pissed and moaned and "boycotted" the event, I hope you enjoyed your Friday night of the holiday weekend in the basement. Way to make your point.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

If you want to be satisfied with a moral victory by losing in OT and by 10 to Bama, that's on you.
Now, even after a W, I have to read "doom and gloom" posts.
I'm a "sunshine pumper", and I will admit that at this point in the season, the Shox are looking like an NIT team. That's not what I was hoping for, but that's what happened. There's no way to undo history, but why must some posters let history be a dark cloud over a current positive outcome?
This season is about one win less than we were hoping for. For some posters, that seems to be enough to justify that a convincing win is not a cause for celebration, because it can't undo history.
If I had a great love-making session with my wife tonight, I'm going to enjoy it, even if maybe I needed a bit of Viagra (and didn't have any) last night.
Some people need to learn to enjoy what can be enjoyed. And let disappointments go away - otherwise you're going to be constantly disappointed - even with success, because no amount of success will ever be enough. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
