Yep, KSHSAA and track fans would blow a gasket if the stadium is ever demolished!

I don't know about that but I don't think a single event and what the KSHSAA thinks should carry a lot of weight with any decisions WSU makes regarding Cessna Stadium. KSHSAA would easily adapt to those changing circumstances by splitting up the classes to different venues.

WSU should make whatever decision makes the most sense for WSU.

That's why rebuilding it to a track dedicated facility is a good choice.

Give the state and the program something to be proud of.

I know we aren't on the level of Oregon, but we could have a facility similar to what they have now (pre current renovations)

Remodel Heskett for new volleyball facility, bigger pool too...maybe indoor track if possible/room. New Y on campus has basically same workout facilities as Heskett anyway.

Upgrade Cessna...way too many Kansas high school kids each year via State Track meet see this. Its pretty much an eyesore...I nice facility could be a good recruiting tool for increased students/enrollment.

And its air conditioned, so will heskett be of great value to the general student body? Last I knew they stil had giant fans for cooling.

Heskett is already used for indoor track & field although I would call the facilities pretty minimal. But Track & Field doesn't really draw many fans.

Using Koch for Men's Basketball, Volleyball and Women's basketball certainly seems to be an efficient use of that facility. I don't anticipate that will be changing unless there is a very well=heeled supporter of women's sports that would like their name on a small arena. Not holding my breath on that one.

I think they should put in a golf course. Would be a great add for the university and city. Lots of unused land on the east side of campus that would probably work.
