Seriously, I still can't get over the fact after all of that you get on them for not calling a Stutz travel. That was hilarity. Good thing the boys won and we can laugh about it now. Otherwise, you would be on the receiving end of a dartboard right now.
    lol yes.

You know, everyone says stuff they regret. Not that I regret it, I don't, I just don't see why I'd need to be on the dartboard.

I must say I laughed about posting "Pro Crew" last night, I don't know what I was thinking.
The mountains are calling, and I must go.

@im4wsu:, I spotted you on ESPN!! Lookin' good representin' the Shox!
I saw it on TV, but it looked like the ref just didn't see Garrett. Garrett went back for seconds and the guy either ignored him or didn't see him again. I did see Garrett kind of give a look of "oh well, I tried". I hope the 2nd half was a little light turning on for GS...he can be so dominant, and he's such a good person...I just want him to excel this season.

A big game tonight would be a fantastic next step.

Amen. Amen. Amen. I've been waiting for NIT Garrett to show up ... and there he was in the second half!

I thought the ref saw him and blew him off, it was kind of an awkward moment for Stutz since he didn't get the handshake.

          • Indeed, very awkward. You could be dead on, I was just guessing from 2304 miles.

I couldn't tell if the elbow from the ref was a "brush off" or if it was akin to that awkward moment when you go in for the handshake and the other guy was expecting a fist bump.

Hey there are the three prisoners in their orange jumpsuits running the clock that I was talking about in the game thread! The jumpsuits look more red here, but they were very orange on my screen. :)

You have it. I doubt you'll ever see it happen. Sorry it took so long, but I'm in the process of finalizing my rules test and looking up the answers so I have backup when my brother disagrees with me :D

                    • Wouldn't it be and look unprofessional if the ref shook hands of one of the players? The ref didn't shake hands in the case the perception of favoritism might exist. Just my opinion.

                      • Saw Garrett and many players shake hands with referees after games through the years. I used to shake hands with Ref's after every game also. Show no favoritism, just respect for the diffucult and thankless job they do.

Thanking a referee for doing their job is classy and good sportsmanship and BOTH teams _should_ be doing it after a game.

                            • I notice a lot of our opponents will go over to the refs and shake hands or give a fist bump during player intros. If that's OK then shaking hands after the contest should be no problem I wouldn't think, especially in a game where your team did not get to the line during the first 30 minutes of play. Now if your team gets 50 free throws and your opponent shoots 10 may be you should forego a post-game handshake just for appearance sake.

I don't think it's a big deal either way. You can always just hand the ball to the ref and tell him "nice job. sir".
