I'm sure glad that they didn't pick the Utah State game to be at IBA.

Weber St. is the team whose associate head coach is an old acquaintance of mine. I knew they were supposed to be pretty good this year. Even several of the USU fans before the game thought Weber was the best team in Utah. They've been a solid program over the past five years.

I have no problem hangin' a hundred+ on them....there's still a lot to pay back.
I see that John Higgins was a reffing that game. I'm not surprised we came up short...

I'm as likely to gripe about the officiating as anyone but, not to pick on SPEShockAkum, John Higgins is as good as it gets here folks. Seriously, there is no better, more under control and professional official in the country. I love seeing John...for 1 I know the players will decide the game (NO WAY he makes the VCU call) 2nd, he'll take more heat from the coaches than anyone else while explaining the situation and lastly, he calls our games the same as a Big12 or Big10 game...no ***** MVC adjustments.

Yes, I knew I'd get lit up for that comment. I say that almost tongue-in-cheek because he lives down the street from a friend of mine and I always razz him about it. Secondly, he called the KU/K-State game the night before the WSU/Evansville game in Evansville last season and there was quite a bit of desparity, obviously in the profile of the game, but especially the level at which they were letting the players play. The KU/K-State game was rough, intense, hard-played, while (it seemed) whistles were being blown every two seconds the next night on questionable touch fouls. There were some "***** MVC adjustments" that night.

Don't dignify that with a response... I've gotten far enough off topic. My personal opinion is that players should play so that the game being won or lost by officiating can't even be an excuse. Like I said, don't take it too seriously.

Just a note: UNI's win over ODU may not have been that good of win.....Howard leads @ ODU 22-15, 18:16 left in the 2nd.

ODU apparently brought Lowery in a an offensive consultant over the off season.

Not going well for all three Valley squads, although I have mixed feelings about who I want to win the CU @ UAB game.

In looking at the stats it appears UE just can't keep up with IU. Hoosiers shooting 70+% and getting fouls on UE.

UE has nothing down low. Impossible for them to be competitive against a team like Indiana.
