Who is in charge of Game Operations/Videos???

I want to know who is in charge of all the pregame stuff at the games. It is an embarrassment. We, as fans, feel that we are one of the top college programs in the country. And, we expect the administration and staff to treat us that way.

I will start with the new Wu Motorcycle video. I love it that we have a new video this year. Iron Wu had run it's course and it was time for something new. However, this new video is terrible. Not only is it terrible, but it lasts WAY too long. They need to cut this video in half. We will never get to see the whole video before the team runs out of the tunnel. It's embarrassing!!

So then, the team comes out of the tunnel. On Sunday, after the band played the fight song, there was no music or anything. It was just silence. I give credit to the student section as they tried to start clapping, but it was just dead. This was embarrassing. PLAY SOME MUSIC!!!!

Next, on to the intro video. The intro video is great. I love it this year. However, at the game on Sunday, the sound was messed up for the first part of it. They then restarted the video, this time with sound.

Not trying to sound like a sour puss, but these things frustrate me. We have a great product on the floor. You would just hope the game operations aspect of everything was just as great. I can guarantee you the other "big time schools" in this state do not have this problem. They have this stuff down to a science.

I just hope it is early season struggles and by the next game at Koch, these problems will all be worked out. As for the team on the court, keep up the great work!!!!

I have to agree, the Batman Wu is kinda sad. One of my buddies got a call after the Emporia St game from WSU asking him how he liked the intro video. He had missed it because he got to the game too late so he had no feedback for them. He needs to make that call now and give them their feedback. But even with our university's screws ups as in the Wu Shock they unveiled a few years ago with breasts, then the horrible WSU logo that lasted less than a month...all of those combined don't equal ECO Cat.

Bat man wu is not good but the video with Marshall talking is worse because it doesn't have any music that has a continual beat to it that can be heard. This is the second year in a row without a song with a strong beat(last years was so slow it didn't work). Two years ago, the video and not perfect but ok and the music with the video was much better.

Gauge the response after the Marshall video not during it. It is isn't intended to be something you clap to, but something inspirational.

You have to listen to what Gregg is saying. It is a great compliment to Shocker fans and a challenge to his players.

BatWu, on the other hand, must have a contract like Chris Lowery and we can't afford to buy him out. No other explanation. Iron Wu = GGG. Bat Wu = Mike Cohen.

Inspirational? well isn't that special...

I hate it and think it's corny, especially while he is talking about sellout crowds and you can see a couple hundred empty seats above the student section. Crank the music and show some highlights.

It's absolutely embarrassing. I've been too many high school games that have better choreographed game productions than what has been put out at Koch the last few years, this year ESPECIALLY.

I think an aggressive campaign needs to begin, letting the AD know just how low-major this major program is getting treated on its home court.

I agree with the BatWu video as well. It's awful. As a matter of fact, it took me until the motorcycle portion of it to even understand what was going on, and even then I wasn't sure. On the other hand, I love the lineup intro video, I just think there needs to be some music and timing issues fixed post video.

I like the HCGM video but not as the player intro video; I want bass in 4/4 time so that the crowd and more importantly our Shocks get pumped up. The Batman/WUbat/whatever the heck it is called is just horrible unless it's played 10-15 minutes before the game for the kids in attendance; again not right before player intros. Someone needs to have a reprimand letter placed in their file over these two debacles.

Does "BatWu" (if that is what the intention is) drive through the opponent's logo at the end? Is that the goal? Seriously, I've watched it 2 times with a ton of interest, and I still have no earthly idea what the hell is going on except someone that I think transforms into BatWu has a chin and cheeks like Buzz Lightyear.
