For those out of towners.....Shockervision quality today (the audio problems not withstanding)?

Actually Doc, Shockervision was great. No problems (even audio) at all. It was entertaining to hear MK go off about the shxxty phone lines (which he later apologized for). He was frustrated to say the least.

I know the stats don't show it but EO had several blocks after a foul was commited. I'm pretty sure I saw a CS player drive in the lane and wet his pants when he saw what was waiting for him.

EO was better on defense today than GS was. I hope GS was just having a bad day.

Garrett will be fine. He probably laughed about how bad his performance was after the game with teammates/coaches. He'll be good.

two things from this afternoon not play related:

1) Game production at Koch sucks. The cartoons are getting old and lame, and that other intro is class A corny. How hard is it to put together a good intro that doesn't make you feel like your watching the disney channel?

2) Just curious who likes the "you still suck" after a made free throw? I hate it, glad they quit with the "balls" part though, that was even worse.

Yes, it seems they are a little rusty on the production side. I do have a question about the intro when they come out of the tunnel... What the heck am I watching? I can't follow it. What is it supposed to be? Regardless its so lame I can't beleive it wasn't left on the cutting room floor. I wish they would just play music or bring back the ironman thing and make this mess go away.

I don't know if EO is or ever will be as good as Stutz, but he sure as he!! is fun to watch!

I absolutely LOVE those old school hard-nosed PFs that hang out around the basket and get every dagnab rebound!!! It's so fun to watch Carl sweep the glass! Oh, and by the way, he scores his bunnies and/or creates contact and goes to the line.

Cotton plays like a senior and looks like a senior citizen. Dude bought beer for his uncle when he was 7 years old. We are going to be stacked at PG for years to come.

There are a ton of good SGs in the Valley, but I'm not sure that we don't have three of the top five right here in Wichita...TM, DK, and DW will be tough for anyone...Ben Smith could also pass for a SG, so four of the top six!

I'm not doom and gloom for Stutz after one game, but this was an inauspicious beginning. Wessel is like Hatch, but way more athletic. EO will foul out quick against tall,strong, athletic, quick big men with lots of post moves. Since Dream and Zo are no longer in college I think he's in good shape. Tekele looks like Mos Def if he was hitting the gym.

Rather than BatWu, have a shorter video (like 30 seconds or so) with some killer music. One thought for a video if they really have to go with the superhero type theme: have Wu over in one of the wind tunnels at NIAR, something goes horribly awry, and Wu gets propelled across campus (for the campus shots part). Have him pick up a bus with the other team's logo on it and throw it into oblivion or tear it apart before entering CKA and landing at center court proclaiming the mightiness of Wu.
