Former assistants want to impress their past bosses more than anything in the world. Past bosses don't want to be shown up either.

I suspect the game will be quite intense. There's no way 3G blows it open.....it's almost never happened in 4 years even when it could and should have....it's not happening today.

Make no mistake, this is the game CSU prepared for all off season. We're in for a fight, but we might just see the true potential of this team in 5+ hours.

Interesting dynamic I wasn't aware of.

      Give us a score!

Actually since its a former assistant, and the system hasnt changed, and we have many newcomers not used to it yet, that does make it a bit of a dogfight if we get in foul trouble or they match up physically. I dont think it changes my score guess, but it does change the 15 point comment.

Lets not forget, as @tropicalshox: pointed out in the recruiting thread, that Teddy Hawkins will be in attendance at tonights game. Would love the student section to get a chant going for him.

I tried to give up predicting WSU games sometime ago. I really, REALLY want to live "enjoying the ride", ESPECIALLY this season. I have very, very high hopes for this team, but I am not going to diminish the ride by being disappointed when unrealistic expectations aren't realized, if they aren't realized.

That being said, for a friend, this one time: WSU 76 CSU 62.

Shox win by 15 going away and Gal comes of the bench and scored 26

The ONLY thing wrong with this (and on the surface it's so awesome I almost can't bring this up) is that in a 40 minute game there isn't enough time for Gal to stop, set and release enough shots to accumulate 26 points....it just flies in the face of the space time continuem.

And by the way, if you haven't seen 3G do his own personal impression of the Gal Mekel jump shot, you haven't lived. It quite possibly is the most brilliant thing I've ever witnessed.

                      Is this game televised?

This early in the season I think CSU playing KSU is an advantage. Fatigue should be no problem at all for them one game into the season. Having played a quality opponent on the road is an advantage for CSU in my opinion.

3G probably will not have the luxury to do much experimentation with lineups in this game so we should get a good, solid look at what he is thinking rotation-wise this year.

No TV unfortunately, unless you call Shockervision tv. Thank goodness I'll be attending--can't wait!

A coach never wants to beat his former assistants. The only thing worse than that is losing to a former assistant.

CSU isn't starting a single player taller than 6'5". I think that's what put Smith at what would normally be the PF spot.

CSU likes to run. They have the same philosophy as WSU. Play D, get boards, score in transition. With 2 teams looking to score in transition, this could end up being a high-scoring game.

Picking a score at this time of the season is hopeless, but just to play along:
                            WSU - 87
                            CSU - 72
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
