      Reaper,

I believe the NCAA rule is that if a school controls the ticketing (not the pricing, but the distribution), then it is a home game for that school.

Please be aware that controlling ticketing doesn't mean that the school gets to redistribute club seats or luxury box seating.

Look at the dates of the games... KSU vs Gonzaga and Duke was part of the CBE tournament. Any date in the 2nd week of March is going to be a part of the Big 12/10/9 however many tournament. Those games being part of tournaments are going to be neutral.

In other words, when you take out the tournament games, only the Missouri vs. Georgetown game is a neutral game.

I thought they said that NCAA said this game would count as a home game?

It might have to do with proximity to your home court, but I'm not sure. Both KU and obviously K-State are a certain distance away from the Sprint Center. IBA is in the same city and only 5-6 miles away from CKA.

I wouldn't think proximity has anything to do with it, KSU had a neutral game, then a home game a month later.

That might be because they think the game is being played at CKA...

I think the proximity issue comes into play for RPI purposes. But I could be wrong.

It's a home game for RPI purposes. This has been confirmed by Sully and the NCAA rulebook.

I think it takes proximity of both schools into account. If Newman played Friends at IBA it would be neutral. If Newman played Rockhurst at IBA, it would be a home game.

As @AG1219: pointed out, the neutral game was part of the CBE tournament. Every game that KU and KSU played at Sprint on that list that wasn't part of an early season tournament or B12 tournament was considered a home game for them.
