  • TEAM OF THE DECADE – NCAA Fan Poll

“Vote for the college basketball team of the decade in this 64-deep bracket” – NCAA.COM

    BY ANDY KATZ, NCAA.COM CORRESPONDENT
    POSTED: AUGUST 7, 2019

It’s time to look at the past 10 years and we want you, the fans, to help us pick the best team from that decade. I’ve got a 64-team bracket of programs from the past decade, starting with the 2010 NCAA tournament (won by Duke over Butler) and concluding with the 2019 champion Virginia Cavaliers.

“…We wondered — who are the best teams over the past decade? We want you, the fans, to decide. I’ve got a 64-team bracket of programs from the past decade, starting with the 2010 NCAA tournament (won by Duke over Butler) and concluding with the 2019 champion Virginia Cavaliers. I seeded the bracket with an emphasis on teams that won a title, reached one or multiple Final Fours and other NCAA tournament success. Each squad in my 64-team bracket will be represented by an all-star collection of players from this decade. Follow the voting on Twitter as the players and matchups are revealed. There will be plenty to debate over how the teams were seeded (isn’t there always!), which players were selected and how they were bracketed.”

Yeah, I saw that too. Weird. Somebody get the guy some game tape of some of the great college games from the last 10 years (or so) instead. And here it was just thinking its the SN members who think November can't get here soon enough. You know, there is such as thing as "down time", even in college athletics.

In what world is Loyola a better seed than VCU? They both have a F4 to boost the profile, while VCU has made the tourney 8/10 times to Loyola's 1/10.

      Pretty lazy, even for Katz.

UConn's 2 National Championships must go a long way to counter only 4 Dance appearances, going 1-2 in the other 2, and a team that has had a losing record over the last 3 years.

Shox could go a ways with VanVleet and Shamet on there. Those guys have gotten a lot of pub. Shamet got good pub on both coasts.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Yeah, I was going to wait until a later round when the vote totals are closer, but to retweet at some of the Raptors / Clippers / 76ers accounts to help us beat someone like Kentucky or NC.
