Yeah, if Terps go one-and-done in NCAA Tournament after doing the same in the Big Ten Tournament (losing to a 13 seed), I would be worried about his future.

It's interesting how little affection Shocker fans hold for Turg considering he did a pretty good job at Wichita State. I suppose it's a combination of the KU pedigree and the "at this level" attitude he had while at WSU.

I just looked it up and actually I think the MVC might be close to the top spot even if WSU's contribution is excluded. We were 10-5 over that period while in the MVC, and the others (UNI, Creighton, and Loyola) combined for 7-4. I don't remember the other conferences listed and their percentages exactly but I think 7-4 (.636) is up there. Of course if we hadn't gotten two auto-bids someone else would have and who knows how they'd have done, but let's not dismiss the fact that no MVC team had a losing record in the tournament in that (arbitrary) timeframe. Loyola was 4-1, UNI 2-2, and Creighton 1-1. And those weren't with high seeds against easier opponents. Let's not deny WSU credit for stomping on what were actually some pretty good teams while in the MVC--the issue was the league as a whole never got the respect that it deserved.

We think SHJ does too much dribbling, Winston for MSU is worse. Guy just pounding it into the ground all over. They seem to not run an offense at all. Tough to watch.
