Rivalry Renewed

I have noticed that many people are predicting Creighton and Wichita State to be at the top of the Conference for the approaching season. I think this will make for an amazing rivalry game come New Years Eve. WSU-CU games have always been the best basketball games to watch, but I am particularly excited for this season. With Creighton being at the top again, with WSU with them up there as predicted, I cannot wait for when the two teams meet.

Welcome to SN T_Mayfield! I think that is shaping up to be a great game as well based on preseason predictions, so hopefully both teams hold to their early press. I just wish it wasn't so early in the season - I'd rather meet them mid conference and near the end. Oh, and any Valentine's Day is good too...

I hope you don't mind my fixing your post. InSU had success because Odum caught everybody by surprise when scouting hadn't caught up with what he was doing at that point in time. That won't happen this year.

I think InSU makes top 3 this year, but won't contend for top 2. I'd love to see them contend and the Valley have 3 teams that created separation from the rest of the league. That could result in in 3 teams in the NCAA's.

Regardless of what certain douchbags say Creighton/Wichita St is very much a rivalry and a very fun one at that. We all hate each other. The games are very good. You end up watching the scorebard/time clock than the actual game.

I agree. I think ISU will be very good, but just a notch below CU/WSU. Odum will still be great. Particularly in the college game, having a great point guard can overcome a multitude of sins.
