Don't tell the Valley that we're the highest one from the conference, including a generous gap ahead of the elitist capital of the modern world itself, Omaha, Nebraska. Even with a big boost of having the CWS there wasn't enough to sniff us.. :good:

The other elitists from Larryville are only a couple of dozen spots ahead. Must be a mistake. The gap shouldn't be that close.
    Deuces Valley.
    ... No really, deuces.

Terre Haute is rated higher than Omaha.

On the flip side, Lawrence is rated higher than Wichita.

I don't understand how KC can be as low as it is.

Honestly, most of that list doesn't make much sense.

Anyone who thinks that Los Angeles is a top 10 sports city is insane. Having lived there, I know it to be a horrible sports town. There is a reason the second largest city in the U.S. can't even support an NFL team. From my observation, 90% of the people that attend sports in LA have never seen the last quarter of any event, much less the end of one.

various categories, including but not limited to, won-lost records, postseason appearances, applicable power ratings, number of teams and attendance.
That should cover most questions. Sounds like just a bunch of random numbers thrown onto a list.

Wichita might be #1 if they included sports-bars in the rubric. Nary a new bar opens in the ICT without a flatscreens jammed in all the corners.

I could slip in a "the ones that can run, jump, and swim" joke here but I won't.

Considering the categories these ratings were given for, I don't think it's that surprising where KC ranks.

Now, looking at cities objectively, without any type of statistics, that list probably wouldn't even resemble anything like this one.

Kent, OH; Colo Springs; Fort Collins ahead of Wichita? The sheep don't support any sport.

Manhattan got a lot of run for their top-10 nationally ranked equestrian team. Even if there are only 6 equestrian teams in the nation - KSU is top-10.

The Little Apple is also higher than Austin. Sorry, but I've been to both, and I'm not buying it.
