I really hope this isn't a replacement for Shocker Madness. Shocker Madness might be a bit cheesy--maybe even a little silly at times, but it's a nice little party to celebrate the new season. People can bring their kids ( no worries about recruiting violations) and everyone gets a look at new team without paying $25 to do so. I think it'd be cool to do this all-access practice, but it shouldn't replace Shocker Madness.

I have a feeling that it does though. So disappointing if correct.

I like this move, but also share the sentiment that it shouldn't replace Shocker Madness.

What I hate most about this is that I will be out of town that weekend!!!

That said, I hope that this doesn't replace Shocker Madness. That would disappoint a lot of families. I also don't think that would be a good PR move.

That doesn't sound to me like Shocker Madness is cancelled.

This is 8:30-9:30 am. Shocker Madness usually isn't until the evening. I remember last year JT telling me that they had had an AM practice, Afternoon Drills, then Shocker Madness.

I don't believe this will replace Shocker Madness.

It provides an opportunity for Shocker basektball junkies to see up close and personal how a Shocker practice is run and how the Coaching staff goes about their business while raising a few bucks.

As far as the team and individual players goes you may be able to pick up some things that aren't readily apparent at a Shocker Madness type of function.

Could be that Shocker Madness will follow that evening or they may go with Shocker Madness on October 15th (which would be my guess).

Oh man. I too will be out of town. I would pay for the VIP pass in a heartbeat.

I'm 95% sure they did this last year, too. It's not replacing Shocker Madness.

That's great that they got this out there, but I'm perplexed why nothing specific has been mentioned about Shocker Madness yet.

It's a week and a half, possibly two and half weeks out and there's nothing.

People need to PLAN these things.

Not impressed in the PR department already..

Yep, I'm a little dissappointed in the way Shocker Madness has been planned this time, but I am happy to hear it probably won't be replaced.

I think they should make Shocker Madness a little more of a 'big deal' and like some places do, make the price of admission a canned good to give to charity. However, it will have to be a little better production than it has been of late.

Apparently I missed the morning time being listed. If they can raise a few bucks with the practice, great. I read it as a replacement for Shocker Madness which would be insanely stupid. You can't even fill up half the arena for SM so to replace it with something you have to pay for would not go over well.

I too wish we'd hear SOMETHING on Shocker Madness.

Not sure if Sully had anything earlier in the Eagle but last year on goShockers.com the announcement of the October 16th Shocker Madness was made on October 12th.
