Number 40: Nevada Las Vegas

The big game: The Rebels face a challenging non-conference schedule, including games against No. 13 Wisconsin, No. 23 Cal, Southern Cal and Illinois — the team that beat UNLV in the NCAA Tournament. And should it advance to the final of the Las Vegas Invitational, the Rebels could face No. 1 North Carolina. But the most interesting game might be the trip to play Wichita State in the Mountain West-Missouri Valley Challenge. Both “mid-major” schools have lofty expectations, and a victory in this Dec. 4 game could be important when the selection committee debates the merits of both.

The schedule with the link lists WSU playing two games in the "bracketbuster series". Did they change the format this year??

That just means BB games are TBD and the game will be played on one of those two dates.
