I'm in total agreement with you. Sorry for the miscommunication. It helps when we have guards that are willing to pass the ball and dish out assists. It definitely makes the offense flow better and gets everyone involved as opposed to the sticky disease that possesses the upperclassmen.

With both of them on the court, it seems to force SHJ to move more and get in better positions to receive passes as he has them on both sides of him at times. Helps everyone actually.

Interesting that while Burton was in the lineup, we were a +4 points and when Torres was in the lineup, we were a +1 point. How did we lose? (No need to answer).

So the three most effective combos on the season all include Haynes-Jones (which surprises me a bit), Stevenson (no surprise), and Echenique (the big +/- winner for this year's team).

A couple of things about those cumulative stats. First, you'll notice MM is in all those lineups as well. In fact, MM and SHJ are in all of those lineups listed because of the minutes they play. For the whole of the season, they have played a lot more minutes than any other players. By around 25% more.

Both JE and ES were players who also got the more minutes early in the season than other newbies, even though those amount of minutes may have reduced as the season went on due to other teammates "getting it". JE has also started most of the time which means he's going to be in a more commonly used lineup from game to game. Other players come in and out with varying players in the lineup throughout the game.

Lastly, look at individual +/-. 1st JE 10.3 / 2nd ES 5.1 / 3rd MM 3.9 / 4th DD 2.8 / 5th RT 1.8 / 6th JB 0.8 / 7th SHJ 0.1 / 8th AM 0.0. Other players like IBPC and RB also play minutes with the walk-ons and even a few minutes can hurt their +/-. MU only played in the early part of the season due to injury before we got hot.

What would be interesting is dividing the season up into basically halves. 1st period through our non-con and conference record of 1-6. 2nd period the remainder of the season.

AM -17 but hey sure let’s play him over JE down the stretch.

We needed them both. JE with a great all around game. AM with a big defensive stop
at the end. 2-3 fouls against AM were terrible calls. don't care which one is better from game
to game all I know is collectively they are pretty darn good

We are 205 points better when JE is on the floor compared to AM this season. They are far from equals. AM is a good piece off the bench to give JE a rest but by any measure JE is the better player.
