The 2018 American Athletic Conference Basketball Media Day on Monday, October 15 will release the "Preseason Coaches Poll", where will the Shockers rank?

I chose 4th place for the Shockers. Cincinnati 1st, UCF 2nd, Houston 3rd, SMU 5th, and Connecticut/Memphis fighting for 6th.

But the question is, where will the Coaches rank us?

WSU picked 5th. Finishes 3rd.

I think the American will be better than expected honestly. Yeah, The Big 3 from last year will be down, but UCF, UConn and Memphis are all improving, 4 bids this year. With Wichita State being one of them.

Edit: Have to remember RPI is gone, that should help this conference.

Maybe, maybe not. At least one knew what they were up against with the RPI. No one but the NCAA knows how the new rating system works. I put little trust in that.
