The pic is quite telling. Why is some dude not in uniform involved?
But contrast this game with WSU's trip to Brazil. There is media coverage of Georgetown's game. The VP traveled to China to watch Georgetown. WSU had a guy step up with some tweets.

Well is it me or at the 6 second mark does the Georgetown player throw the first punch? Was he fouled? Yeah. But did he swing first? Yeah.

Yeah, no matter how lopsided the fouling was before this or any pushing matches...the G-Town guy threw the first punch that started that massive brawl.

I was reading the ABCnews.com recap of the fight and they had a quote from Fran Franschilla as an international basketball expert..the funny part...not once but twice they referred to Fran's quote with "she said".

Apparently there were 3-4 consecutive intentional fouls called on Gtown in successive trips down the floor, not sure if that is correct or not but it is something to keep in mind.

I highly doubt they were received well, and you can't tell me that china didn't have their preconceived bias's about, excuse the ShockRef reference, "goon ball".

I don't believe any Georgetown player should be suspended, or reprimanded.

Are you saying if there's a large foul descrepency that it's ok to throw the first punch and start a brawl? Things may have gotten heated, but the video that I've seen shows G'town instigating what led to the bench clearings. I don't care how physical the game was or how poorly officiated they think it was, that doesn't excuse what happened.

I doubt G'town does anything to it's players and would be shocked if the NCAA did anything either.

Agreed...don't care how much pushing or shoving took place before that...or how may no calls or touch fouls... Georgetown threw the first punch and started the brawl. Granted the Chinese took it to the extreme by throwing chairs and beating the crap out of the Georgetown players.

Apparently, they have reconciled with each other at the airport and moved on. Georgetown has changed their schedule to play someone else.

Yup, if that were the bar and acceptable we would have cleared the bench in Maui against UConn.

Should be noted there were other shoving matches in the game, none of which cleared the benches, and a chinese player told JT3 to "F*** off" or something to that equivelance while he was yelling to his team.

Admittidly these reports have come from Georgetown fans who were at the game (you're not going to receive this information from china obviously).

I'm just saying, you gotta draw the line somewhere.

The piece I read said the Chinese player yelled something along the lines of "this is how you let your team play?"

Shoving is one thing. Taking a swing and causing benches to clear is another. I hate China as much as the next person, but G'town appears to have created the incident by their actions.
