    I just had a vision.

Gregg Marshall wins a national championship at Wichita State then retires from coaching basketball to take on a new supervisory role in the athletic department: Football Czar.

    Discuss.

Whatever you are smoking - give it up! I am not certain HC3G would retire immediately after winning a NC but I would love to find out!

Half that statement will be true... The other half is not his lane.

Don't be so sure. Gregg Marshall, since his arrival, has been quite fond of reciting all the records he has broken. 3G is also a fairly big football fan. I'm envisioning a man with jet black hair and a perpetual smirk, sitting atop a golden chariot and being carried up 21st street by a sea of Shockers, eventually arriving at Koch Stadium for the big Saturday game.

Meanwhile, I kinda dig this article that comes out of the blue grass state about the 50 greatest Kentucky basketball games. I didn't want to start another thread, naw, why would I do that?!!

I think you'll dig number 2 (or maybe not).

Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking, posting a basketball article in a f*#%ing football thread.

This article pretty much sums up why Bardo was laughed at when he approached donors in football.

                  Interesting.

It wasn't mentioned, although it was implied, that a "mid-major" with a football program has never made a deep run in the NCAA's.

Are there any exceptions to that?

Temple, Butler, Indiana State, and UMASS all play at NCAA D1 level.

If Temple and Butler are considered Midmajor I think UConn with it's championships would also be considered midmajor and it has football.

One more utterance of the word Midmajor and WSU in the same sentence and I'm bringing back the old Cold...

                      Clean it up people.

Gonzaga maybe? Well, they don't play football but definitely have made deep runs.

MidMajors WITH football was the premise of the question, not midmajors in general
