Colorado lost a bunch of scoring, but their big man returns after missing the entire season last year. They have recruited three good ones, but catching them early in the season after losing Burks and Higgins will help.

"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

There are some great story lines for WSU in this tournament. Announcers won't be hurting for material if there are slower stretches in the game, or if the games get lopsided.
Win the first two, which I think is doable, and then WSU has a 7-game winning streak, which would likely be the second-longest in the nation.
There are lots of reasons to hear WSU mentioned a lot during the entire tournament.
I bet Turgeon hates this bracket. He's guaranteed to have to play either his former assistant and good friend or his former school. Beating a Turgeon-coached Maryland team would be sweet. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Tournament bracketWhen and where: Nov. 17-18, 20 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto RicoInitial thoughts: Anxious to see Robbie Hummel in action, especially in a back-to-back game scenario like this one.
Originally posted by Dana O'NeilPredicted winner: Alabama. The Crimson Tide barely missed the NCAA tournament this past spring and then had to swallow the lousy pill of a loss in the NIT title game. So there’s plenty to fuel the Tide’s fire and plenty of fuel in the form of Green and Mitchell. In a field with plenty of talent, there is none to rival what Anthony Grant has at his disposal. Expect the Tide to prove the expectations are warranted by winning a title here.
PS To be completely honest ...

Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

Purdue and Western Michigan get an extra game, hosted at Purdue, as part of this event.
How nice for Purdue (and WMich). The way the tournament bracket is setup, they could play each other again in the 2nd game, should WMich upset Temple or Iona upset Purdue.
