It very well could boil down to KU and WSU for Ellis, but I think KU probably has the edge. If Ellis picks WSU, and I am hoping he does, it will be because he feels WSU is on the rise (getting VanVleet sure helped), having his former teammate Wessel on the team, and the fact that his family and friends can all watch him play all home games.
I'd also throw in the mix that Buddy Hield his AAU team mate is looking at WSU. How we have room for 2 more guys without getting rid of some other scholarship players is beyond me, but what a class would it be if at the end of the signing period we land:

    VanVleet
    Henry
    Ellis
    Hield

Best recruiting class in nearly 30 years?
I guess much of it comes down to if Armstead goes on 'ship next year or continues to pay... That would be a heck of a class. I'd love to at least get one of those two and add Thurman if that happens. Those two would make me VERY happy though.

If that happens, I think our chance at making a final four run, and being ranked a whole season would go from pipe dream or miracle run, to being a legitimate outcome.Getting a class like that bumps the program and Marshall to a whole nother level.

I'm just waiting for the official VanVleet profile from Suellentrop or Lutz where they MIGHT say he isn't quick/fast (not true), and he's unspectacular (not true) but steady (true).

Ellis connection? It is a thread concerning him. He couldn't go wrong in any way, shape or fashion having that guy as a team-mate.. that in relation to KU, and UK too. But I'll wish him the best EQUALLY wherever he goes.. I don't wanna see Wichita kids flub it up, wherever they are at.

I'm in total agreement with your last comment. It floors me when I see people say bad things about someone when they don't join a school. I'd always root for Perry where ever he chooses to play.

And LOL at your first comment about Lutz or Sully making a negative response about something WSU. They never would do that, would they?

IDK why anybody is throwing Sullentrop under the bus. He fully supports WSU athletics and gives us fans great coverage.

Last year, Lutz said that if KU and WSU played 50 times, 25 in Lawrence, 25 in Wichita, he used that number for some reason, that KU would win the series 48-2, or something like that (remember, KU flirted with #1 all year). He can't be a stupid lettered guy, but that analysis gets a "what a KU homer dumb%&#!",.. one that frequently writes about WSU, no less. Maybe his worst moment ever in Wichita sports reporting. 'Loved it when VCU (who beat WSU on a mirage foul call.. and got in the tournament because of it) trounced KU later on.

He turned pretty negative at the end of the season, and belittled the NIT championship with a comment to the likes "What will the NIT do for WSU? It won't help in recruiting." I don't have time to look up his article, but I distinctly remember reading that, and wondered if Lutz got a hold of the article before the press.

He probably does still belittle WSU's NIT run. That's okay, he's always gonna do something like that, like most KU fans in Wichita do. But I'm pretty sure WSU last postseason would have put some serious wood to KU.

Somehow I don't think we would have gotten VanVleet without that NIT Championship ...

I'm thinking we wouldn't have gotten VanVleet without Dana Ford.

A physician called into a radio show and said:

Actually what he does is disable the bbcode when he quotes somebody. Purpose I believe is to be just annoying.

Thanks '79, iPhone doesnt like "bbcode" evidently and i didn't catch it when it replaced it with "becomes".

I think you meant he has the 'Disable BBCode in this post' box checked.
