I don't think the lack of a visit is any big deal for WSU since he has lived in Wichita his entire life. Going to be a fun trip I think.
Though it's been reported that Wichita State was a finalist for Perry Ellis, it appears the forward will not take an official visit to the school. Perhaps since he has lived in Wichita and knows the school well, there might not have been a need. But the recent tweet from Jeff ******* of CBSSports.com that details Ellis' official visits' list could mean the soon-to-be senior has narrowed his choices. Ellis will travel to Memphis, Lawrence, Manhattan, Durham and Lexington within the next coming months.
We have written extensively on the recruitment of Ellis so it will be interesting to hear his thoughts after seeing the schools officially. Ever since Jeff Capel joined the Duke coaching staff, the Blue Devils have been intensely pursuing the 6-foot-8 forward. Similarly, Kansas has been a leader, under the eyes of assistant Danny Manning and Bill Self; after losing out of LeBryan Nash, DeAndre Daniels and other key bigs in the class of 2011, Ellis (along with Kaleb Tarczewski) has to be a top target.
Kansas State, Memphis and Kentucky have also been at the forefront of Ellis' recruitment so a commitment to any of the five schools would not be a surprise.
