This is good for the team. We had too many recruiters on the bench and not as many X’s and O’s. Heier is not coming back. I dont want another x-HC. I would love a juco coach that over achieves with the talent they have, preferably someone who is good with the 3-4 spot.

Coach Marshall is a tough guy to play for and likely a tough guy to coach for. I hope the new assistant is a good buffer for the players and has a thick skin himself.

Kevin Ollie would also be a intriguing hire, for other reasons.

I personally don’t see this as a huge loss. Unless there is bad blood it shouldn’t hurt the Sunrise connection. They are in the same city after all. I’m guessing Kyle isn’t the only connection.

Shoxlax probably knows more about Sunrise recruiting but I believe that Lindsted was the lead recruiter for N’Faly Dante and I think Crowley (4*) too.

For all we know this could simply be a graceful exit for KL. There were a few flies in the ointment of 3G’s program, and it wasn’t just limited to the players on the court.

Taking a job with a guy who is on professional life support, versus keeping the one you had with a guy with a practical life estate in his home arena. Not hard to make that choice.

Not to mention, the University of Minnesota is basically Rutgers West, from a sports perspective.

Just my take.
