I remember a negative kick also and I think it was Drake, but my memory is that it was a punt the ended blowing backwards into the end zone for a safety.
That was it! Your right it was a punt. 8) :goshocks:

The game was a blowout 30-6 at that point so a lot of fans had left and didn't see the kick which was made during the final seconds of the game.

It is not something you would easily forget if you saw it.

Even our bad plays could be entertaining.

I don't know who the holder was on Joe's 67-yarder but he did a great job and deserves some credit has he handled a less than great snap.

If you watch the replay closely it looks like the snap short-hopped him a little.

Seeing an actual video of WSU playing football makes me want to cry a little, especially this time of year.

Here's a FB memory from when clotheslines were still legal.

It was probably around 1971. One of WSU's backup fullbacks was getting some minutes at middle linebacker. Cincinnati ran a play where a tailback got the handoff and crossed to the opposite side just behind the line of scrimmage.

When I remember Lou's last name, I'll come back here and use it. He was a friend of mine and I was watching his play. Lou saw the play developing, stood up, held his position and extended his arm out and above the guy trying to block him.

The Cincy tailback ran into Lou's arm and his feet nearly reached the same altitude as his head. Lou's arm didn't move.

I believe the name was Lou Taber.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
