WSU v KSU - so close, yet so far

I'd mark a KSU vs WSU game on my calendar. I don't care how good or bad K-State is at any given time. It's an in-state school that a lot of my close friends attended. Would make for a fun little series I think.

Those of you that bash KU for being "too big" for us are saying the exact same things that they do. "We don't need K-State. They need us. They're too scared to play us." Don't be a hypocrite.

No, I got that point. Bruce Weber is certainly a miserable SOB. And I like to hate on KSU too. I'm just chiming in to some of the people that are sounding like KU fans right now. It's certainly not everyone.

I think you are misinterpreting the people who say “we don’t need KSU or KU “. Their emotion isn’t arrogance. The emotion they feel is frustration. Most KU fans and fewer KSU fans are arrogant toward WSU.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander. We don't need either. And certainly not under cherry-picked circumstances. If they want to play us they'll agree to a long-term contract.

Solid schools in cowboy country like OSU, OU, and Baylor are willing to play WSU...that's a pretty good substitute for KSU and KU. playing teams along the old Chisholm Trail is getting back to Wichita's roots.
