One or two probably did, but the player roller coaster just overshadowed them.

I wouldn't mind seeing Samajae's scholarship being used on a guy who will get minutes in the AAC and beyond.

Dude, get off my nuts. If you liked the product you saw this year, good for you. But since when does the opposing teams star always get his stats against the shockers? Marshall said it repeatedly- the star on the other team will get his. Did you see a team that fought tooth and nail every possession? Because I didn’t. Time to get back to shocker ball.

I believe that if we had played KU in December, we would have won. Had we played them in March, they would have boat raced us.

Probably would not have won in March but the KU team in March had little resemblance to the Dec team.

Right, this is what I meant by "step back". Not necessarily in record per se, but in mentality, toughness, leadership, etc. The last 2 years teams did not display that same Shocker mentality we've been used to seeing. I'm hoping to see that return.

The whole "hyena" thing should have shown something was wrong. Hyena are nocturnal scavengers who are know for being cowardly.

          Player---------- A------ B----- C------ D
          Off Eff------ 120.3 --109.2 --104.7-- 87.9
          Assist-TO ---1.8 -----1.5---- 1.7------ 0

While Haynes-Jones was definitely frustrating at times last year is he really a player that should be ran off? Which of these four look
least likely to contribute next year, if they were on the team?

Pretty sure they didn't shoot the three but they did have 111 blocks between them and I think almost everyone would agree the game has changed in the last 5 years, definitely trending towards having 3 pt threats at every position and if not then a rim protector.

If he can do both those things he will be a dominant player

His six games against 200+ Kenpom ranked teams,
          FG% 55.9%
          3-PT% 55.0%
          FT% 72.2%
          Other 18 games
          FG% 24%
          3-PT% 25.0%
          FT% 64.7%

Assist/turnover was 1.7 across the board.

As well they should have. I was just surprised his OFF Eff and assist/TO were as good as they were. If we had ran more of a spread offense I wonder if he would have then been able to finish in the lane?

I think now that we are not the "preseason Top 10, final 4 team", we get back to our scrappy underdog kind of play. I hope so at least.

Any players we can get that we can build a future on. There are plenty of younger , more fruitful players than Jones. He can stay and he give up his scholarship. Gregg Marshall has already recruited over him.
