Per Will Kunkel on Twitter:
Sources: Kaelen Malone will be leaving Wichita State as well.
He probably means it this time.
"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

A physician called into a radio show and said: "That's the definition of a stool sample."
No idea why, but he did announce and then change his mind.

Hardly even got a read on this player. Don’t blame him a bit.
Had some decent minutes as a Shocker. I will remember him for the lowest, if not the strangest, release on a 3-point shot. Showed pretty good poise, it seemed.

From Fran Fraschilla on Twitter:
"Kaelen Malone 6'1 185lb PG, will transfer as a 5th year player. He has already heard from Wake Forest, Baylor, & 3 SEC Schools. He is looking for the best fit regardless of level. Great Kid/Student".
Talked with Kaelen the other day and he informed me he is going to finish his college career IN the city of Wichita. He will be playing for the Newman Jets. He was impressed with the coaches and the things Newman has planned. My firm, DP Law Firm, has been working hard with Newman and the contractors and sonars to get the ball rolling on these projects. You have a project that needs to get done? Call 1-800-LAW-FIRM and as for Attorney Scott Miller, I will fight for you!
Verbal Commits is saying that Kaelen is transferring to Newman. It's cool he's staying in Wichita and Jets should benefit from the valuable experience he gained here. Good luck to Kaelen.
If Malone is headed for ORU, he currently isn't listed on their roster. I just checked, and there were (only) 12 guys shown, one of whom was not Kaelen, so I guess it's possible he could be the incoming 13th.
(Also, off topic but somewhat entertaining for ORU, one of the players who does show up on the current 12-man roster is RJ Fuqua, whose dad Richard was one of the mad bomber outside shooters on the early ORU teams under Ken Trickey, who in turn was kind of a preview of Paul Westhead. "WRAG -- We Run and Gun!")
Got to watch Richard Fuqua at ORU, incredible shooter. Those teams averaged over a 100pts per game, made it to the elite 8 in their 3rd or 4th year of moving up to D1.
