I have NO idea how they ever thought he'd get it. Based off of how SWOMO fans described it in the past.

He is one player I did not care for, and was overrated IMHO.

He wasn't that good and they're probably better off without him. He was what he was and that wasn't anything special.

Still, anyone who thought he'd get an extra year was on crack. Or since they're in Mizzou, meth.

I actually disagree about the evaluation of him as a player. While not the most talented guy out there, he was an important effort and glue guy for them last year, much the way O'Rear was at UNI.

As for getting an extra year of eligibility, I too never understood why anyone at MSU thought there was much of a chance given how the NCAA generally rules on these things.

It goes beyond stats. I'd rather have O'Rear.

I'm not going to argue about whether a team is better off with Creekmore or O'Rear, but I really can't buy your statement that MSU are better off without him. I think very few teams wouldn't want another year out of a guy who gives you 11 ppg and 6.5 rpg while shooting 57% from the field. Plus he was known for being a hard worker. I get not liking a guy, but I sure won't mind not having to face him anymore because he was a good player.

o'rear had a pretty wide frame and didn't get pushed around that much.. many in section 118 liked to call him o'fata$$.

O'Rear was more of a play-maker type guy. Creekmore is more of a finisher. They just serve different purposes, that's all.

But O'Rear seemed like a positive influence for the other younger players at UNI -- they seemed to rally around him.

Creekmore on the other hand taught the younger players how not to act, by example.

I would take O'Rear over Creekmore in a second. Both had different roles for their respective team, so numbers aren't going ro tell the whole story. That said, I'd also take Stutz, Echenique or VanDeest over Creekmore.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

                          VanDeest

                          Min 24.2
                          Pts 8.5
                          Reb 4.4
                          Asst 1.5
                          TO 1.3
                          Stl .5
                          Blk .6
                          FG% .525
                          FT% .770

Keeping in mind where Drake finished and the surrounding cast, VanDeest looks pretty good vs. Creekmore.

There was probably nobody around to see it that cared so I'm going to guess zero. He strikes me as a guy who will over dramatize everything if there is someone around to see it.
