What a year, preseason expectations through the roof. Potential Final 4 team, #1 in ESPN BPI summer update, an SBNation article on why we should be considered a national championship favorite.

After the game versus South Dakota State, doubts are starting to arise, but no worries! McDuffie will solve all of our problems once he returns.

He then goes on to have the worst season of his college career, I think Highschool Senior MM would have been better.

Drop at home to SMU, lose in Houston to Houston, and now questions are being asked about our potential.

Defense was terrible, and it looks like the team just didn't care.

So, can we get a team that actually wants to win and PLAY ANGRY?

There was some talk about bad juju and locker room stuff this season. Don't know if true or what it was (if there was)...but man so weird since it was basically the same team as last year. Maybe just too much pressure. I told my son going into the game today I didn't think we would win and it wasn't because of Marshall University.

I can see why this thread was created, you'd figure the Seniors would not allow us to lose. Watching teams like Marshall and Buffalo and Loyola play with so much passion from start to finish in their games has made me jealous. Buffalo's play was inspirational, those dudes were playing with their hair on fire the entire game - you can't coach intensity and effort, a coach can only penalize a player for demonstrating a lack thereof. If only we could've brought it like Buffalo did, we would have won the game by 30.
