  • Obvious CBS Picks for TV

Looking over the TV schedule for all the 1st Round games it's obvious how certain teams/players get slotted per network for maximum viewership and ratings. Not necessarily a bad thing...but ya know. CBS is the only free network to air games over the air.

Who's on the over the air FREE network?

    KENTUCKY (Of Course)
ARIZONA (1st Pick of the NBA Draft and $100,000 illegal recipient - DeAndre Ayton)
    And what's this...no way...TRAE YOUNG...I mean Oklahoma. (Not surprised - Lol)

There are a total of 4 NCAA Tourney games on CBS FRIDAY:

    NORTH CAROLINA (Of Course)

No surprise. Their job is to please the masses, which is what they have done. I don't fault them.

WSU got some nice CBS slots with their matchup with Kentucky and Kansas, and wasn't the Dayton game on CBS? We have certainly benefited in the past.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

Yeah, I think that we've had quite a few CBS games. I think being regularly under seeded caused some very interesting first round matchups, plus it turned us into a bit of a "cinderella" for casuals who only know a teams value from the number next to the team's name in following rounds.

Advertisers want eyeballs. Most possible eyeballs on CBS. Therefore, CBS puts the name brands on CBS. Every game is visible for those that want to watch. WSU v. Marshall is only compelling to me because of WSU.

As for advertisers, there is only so many times I can see the egg taco and the dilly Dilly commercials while funny you can only laugh at the same ones so many times.
