The more I think about it, the more I wonder who is going to be able to handle Shaq in the NCAAT. The #2 defensive team in the nation spent the entire game yesterday with 3 guys bear-hugging him, and he still had 16 and 8 on 10 shots....in 33 minutes. He played 33 minutes at full-go in the most physical game I remember watching in years. Talk about growth.
Gary Clark is a great player .. but honestly .. I wasn't so impressed with him that I think he should have been DPOY or POY .... just my opinion. Hopefully Shaq got votes for DPOY.
Gary Clark reminds me a lot of Rashard Kelly. And I mean that as a compliment to both players.
I think Evans is more deserving of POY.
Not sure how you go with Brooks over Willis for 6th man (there may be others worthy, this was just an easy comparison off the top of my head), but they tied with us and we had 2 1st teamers, so I'll allow splitting the difference.

Clark is PoY and it's really not close. At least if you have any interest in numbers at all. Let alone he's the best player on the championship team.
Leads the conference in the following rate stats:
PER, D-Reb %, O-Rating, D-Rating, O-Win Shares, D-Win Shares, Win shares/40, Defensive +/-. Total +/-
Top 5 in the following:
2nd O-reb %, 2nd Total Reb%, 4th Steal %, 4th Block%, 4th T/O%, 4th Offensive +/-
In pure per game stats, 12.6 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.5 steals, 1.3 blocks and only .9 T/O which translates to 16th in scoring, leads in rebounds, 7th in steals, 6th blocks. He's flat out stuffing the stat sheet and doing it all. He's player of the year.
Two game isn't a season. Also non factor is silly. He put up 11/8/3/3 in Cinci. What exactly did Evans do better than Gary? He scored .7 points more but also took almost 2 shots more a game to do so.
It's probably worth point out that I'd vote for Evans, and therefore I'm not advocating a WSU player over Clark. Furthermore, as such, I don't really care if it ends up being Clark over Evans. That'll be for their team/fans to worry about.
In direct comparisons though, I'd take Evans over Shamet all day.
And I'd take Morris over Clark all day.
Huh, that's crazy to me. I definitely wouldn't take Evans over Shamet. I definitely take Clark though, he does soooo much that leads to winning on both sides of the ball, he's an amped up Rashard.
