  • 2017-18 Shocker AAC Conference Record Prediction – “Christmas Edition”?

Most game predicting models estimate either 2 or 3 losses (@Cincinnati, @Houston, and @ SMU) for Wichita State this season. If we get by Connecticut in our first AAC game, which I am predicting we do, I am guessing we will get 17 wins with our only loss being @Cincinnati.

I have lowered my expectations, but only by one game. I was thinking 2 losses going into conference play and 3 losses in conference play. I have to add another loss based on what I've seen so far. Adding only one loss based on what the Shox have shown so far is actually optimistic.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

It's not hard at all to see us losing at Cincinnati or SMU.

At UCF, Temple, Houston, and UConn are all tough games as well, It wouldn't surprise me if we drop one of those four.

If somebody steals a game at Koch we could easily be looking at 4 losses.
Its a good landing if you can walk away, its a great landing if the plane can be reused the next day.

Houston and Temple have both won a big game or two. They are both strong NCAA at large candidates. They will both be difficult road games. On the road, they are perhaps a 50/50 or maybe at best 60/40 win probabilities.

I don’t want to start a new thread for this, but if someone starts a Conference Pick ‘em contest, you might want to plan for that. I don’t think the scheduling works out perfectly to have 18 rounds of 6 games each like the Valley did (MVC having 5 games). I could be wrong, but there might be some off rounds built in there for a couple teams.
