    WSU opens up at -9.

Good Lord that’s a lot of points. That’ll come down a lot.
    Deuces Valley.
    ... No really, deuces.

We should win this game handily but don't expect a blowout. I don't imagine Markis will have a breakout game this early in his return and doesn't get more than 15-18 mins. We'll notch our first win in the American tomorrow!

I think this game is going to be fairly close. Kevin Ollie is definitely no Jim Calhoun but still a coach with a national title under his belt. Despite being in a down period, they’ve still got a lot of talent. I think they’ll come out highly motivated to not let the FNGs come out with a win but we pull away at the end. Wow, still gotta pinch myself. We’re opening up conference play at freaking UCONN.

        Welcome to the thunderdome.

Would appear the Shocker team charter flight has had some issue today. From what I can tell from observing FlightAware there was an original plane, 813BB (Meregrass Aviation) scheduled to depart ICT for BDL shortly after noon today. It arrived from its' base in Texas and filed a flight plan to BDL but then returned to the base in Texas. Now a plane from Ultimate, UJC56 is inbound and has a trip filed to BDL with a departure scheduled after 5pm from ICT. Odd circumstances with the change in charter operators and a 5 hour delay. The team usually departs about 24-hours before game time from what I have observed.

Something to stew about for or worrying fans!

          Shocks by 7.

That's a little concerning with an early game tomorrow. Even if they get the bird turned around in a flash they won't get to BDL until well after 9 and by the time they get to the hotel it'll likely be pretty late.
Its a good landing if you can walk away, its a great landing if the plane can be reused the next day.

Not sure if the reason, but cold weather here has affected a lot of flights the last few days. Also, over 14.5K tickets sold for tomorrow's game. About 1000 left.

I will take a banked 3 pointer at the buzzer for a 1 point road win right this minute and I won't apologize to anyone for it. This is going to be tough, at a minimum.

I already called the one point victory. It's mine I say it's mine.

I think one of the harder things to adjust to will be potential difference is officiating emphasis.

From what I've seen of officials working AAC games, accuracy of calls is about the same as we saw in the Valley. There could be a difference in officiating emphasis. The Valley seemed to call games in a way to discourage physical play. Scouting is nearly a tossup. Both Shox and opponents don't have years of experience to scout from. Year of film, yes, but not on court experience.

Adjusting to officiating is where the Shox may have a disadvantage compared to teams that have been playing in the league since its' inception.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Good, love a good atmosphere. How does UConn usually draw in conference? Is this unusual with the struggles lately?

Definitely high end. We've drawn better in out-of-conference games than in-conference over the past 5 years. Cincinnati has been the biggest conference draw since the split. I'd guess WSU will be our highest conference attendance this year due to the Cincinnati game being played at 10K seat Gampel.

Looks like they usually have about 5k.

Nervous, excited, hope we come out playing like we did earlier in the year. We have been inconsistent over the last three games. Having Mcduffie back is a big plus, but expecting him to be in mid season form is a little to much to expect. Still great to have Marcus back, a good solid 10-15 minutes would be great. Need Shaq back to being Shaq, our guard play has been great over the last several games, Willis has looked good. D needs to get back to being like the D of old. Shocks win by 12. 84-72.

I kinda think we'll be in a dogfight all day. Especially with the late flight (If true) and a near sell-out crowd kicking off the AAC conference on National TV in hostile territory.

They will be jacked. And that crowd will be jacked!

                        Shocks in a nailbitter.
