Surprising the OU game would have more tuned in than the Maui final.

Really surprised by OU viewership. Random question, will a week from Saturday be the most watched WSU game not in the NCAA tournament? I guess that may hinge more on UConn's next two games, but an interesting thought. Weekend during the holidays and OTA with the only sports competition being Memphis/Iowa State and Louisville/Miss St bowl games and UNC/Wake.

Looks to me like the most watched WSU regular season game was the winner-take-all MVC finale between WSU and UNI at 1.13 million viewers. I would expect a CBS game between WSU and UConn to draw right around there.

If I remember right, during the undefeated season we had some late season games that drew huge numbers.

I found the tv ratings for the Wichita State- Missouri State game on March 1, 2014 (win #31 of the undefeated season). It drew 1.144 million viewers on espn. Also earlier that same week, on Tuesday, February 25 at 8pm our game at Bradley drew 620,000 viewers on espn2: http://sonofthebronx.blogspot.com/20...s-

Earlier that season our game at UNI on 2/8/14 at 8pm on espn2 drew 553K viewers, our game against BYU in KC on 11/26/13 on espn2 at 9:30 pm drew 502K viewers, and our game against Tennessee at IBA on 12/14/13 on espn2 at 1pm drew 562K viewers http://www.sportsmediawatch.com/2014...3-14-season/3/

Finally the 2014 game against Indiana St in the MVC Championship in St. Louis on March 9, 2014 drew 1.492 million viewers: (this link lists the TV ratings for every college basketball game played on national TV in 2013-14) http://www.sportsmediawatch.com/2014...3-14-season/3/

The Oklahoma State game also drew more than the Maui final. I was kind of surprised by that too. I kind of think a lot of people were not home on the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving.

The most watched Shocker game on TV overall (including ncaa tournament games) was probably the Wichita State-Louisville game in the 2013 Final Four which drew 14.5 million viewers (although the final 4 game in 1965 could have drawn more since there were less viewing options back then). http://www.sportsmediawatch.com/2014...ulti-year-low/

The Ohio State - Wichita St game in the elite 8 in 2013 drew 11.3 million viewers: http://www.sportsmediawatch.com/2013...ament-and-nit/

The Gonzaga - Wichita St game on 3/23/13 at 8:30 pm on TNT drew 4.2 million viewers: http://www.sportsmediawatch.com/2013...ament-and-nit/

The LaSalle- Wichita St game on 3/28/13 at 10 pm on TBS drew 2.3 million viewers: http://www.sportsmediawatch.com/2013...ament-and-nit/

The UNI-Wichita St. game on 3/07/10 at 3pm on CBS drew 1.226 million viewers: http://www.sportsmediawatch.com/2011...r-six-of-last/

The Kentucky- Wichita State game on March 23, 2014 drew 12.1 million viewers: http://www.sportsmediawatch.com/2017...-weekend-1991/

The TV ratings for the game at UConn was almost right at 1 million with 994K viewers. It was actually the third highest viewed college basketball game that weekend. Only the 2 games on CBS later that day drew better. Our game drew higher ratings than such games as: North Carolina-Wake Forest 631K (and was on at the exact same time on espn2), Oklahoma-TCU 503K (espn2), Georgia-Kentucky 769K (espn), Tex A&M-Alabama 374K (espn2), California-Stanford 126K (FS1), Vanderbilt-Florida 241K (espn 2): http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/article...0-31-2017.html

The TV ratings are in for the game last night. The WSU-UH game on espn drew 536K viewers. It was the second highest watched college basketball game last night, right behind the Arizona-Utah game with 545K viewers also on espn.

Other college BB games making the top 150 cable shows last night: Michigan St.-Maryland game on FS 1 395K, Ohio St-Iowa on espnu 324K. None of the other college basketball games on TV last night made the top 150. We will have to wait a few days when the complete list comes out to see how many viewers the UC-Temple, and SMU-Tulane games got. http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/article...-1-4-2018.html
