Trying to watch the replay on Cox22. It’s almost unwatchable. Somehow it’s constantly buffering. Are they just running this off a crappy laptop on campus WiFi?!

According to HCGM, SHJ has acid reflux. Do hits to the mouth cause acid reflux? I do not know. According to Mike K. SHJ had been taking medication to subdue the AR in the past. It didn't sound at that time that the condition was totally new.

That is probably the more likely explanation. Just seems to ring a bell for me.
