Dad and I went to the West store today. All of the seniors were very nice to everyone and even joking with us here and there. My dad had a copy of Coach Miller's book "Spanning the Game" in his back seat and we went back in to get it signed by Coach. We asked if he had seen it the book before, looked at us like we were strange, and then looked at the cover and gasped. He said he had never seen it before. He then asked us to bring it by his office sometime so he can borrow it! I said sure, as long as we got it back, that book is the 2nd most important book in our family.....

On the inside I was thinking, sure Coach, whatever keeps you happy :D

      We had a great time...

His teams were always fundamentally sound, team oriented, well conditioned, and ran both their offense and defense with great patience. I know of no coach whose teams competed against his, whether it be at Wichita State, Iowa, or Oregon State, who did not have great respect for him."—John Wooden

Tell 3G that the next time he is considering an offer, you'll bring the book by for him to read the following week, as long as he's still the Shocker coach.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Will do, it'll either convince him to stay or lead him to accept a job at Oregon State
          :(

My signed pennant, NIT shirt, and Basketball are looking great with my framed vintage Shox game jersey! However, my wife is getting a little nervous as bit by bit, our living room is being Shocked...

We went to the West store also, about a quarter til 7:00 and I agree all the players were very nice and especially HCGM-he thanked us and everyone I saw go through for coming, and for their support. I was navigating the line with 2 year old twins so I was barely able to make eye contact let alone talk. I wished I could have asked more about the NY trip or their future plans, but Gabe did say he was going to be playing somewhere!

I'm so glad Sports Time does this with the seniors, I've been getting a mini bball each year signed by them all, and it was great to get HCGM this year, too. And my now signed NIT champ picture is already at Hobby Lobby being framed. :)
