Kind of surprising that he would put that up before either the WSU or Texas A&M Corpus Christi websites would announce anything, but it looks like we will be looking for 2 assistants.

It will be interesting to see if Matt Braeuer's name is in the mix, but he might still be too young compared to the other options out there. Sad to see Marty go.

WTF? Well I'm a bit blindsided by this, but whatever. Now HC3G has at least 2 coaches and however many players to replace. This can't be good.

To be clear, Coach Gross is reuniting with Head Coach Willis Wilson whom he coached under at Rice. Maybe losing two coaches is indicative of something, but since both coaches had personal and regional ties to the positions they left for, it might be reading too much into things to assume so.

Certainly is unfortunate to lose two assistants in one year, but hopefully we can make a smooth transition with whomever we hire.

It will be interesting to see who fills the two open spots. Obviously, many are going to want to see Matt get a spot. He would give us a Texas connection so I'm open to at least considering him. Not sure if he's ready for this or not.

Obviously we still need a coach who has connections in the South.

Coach Gross has certainly paid his dues and he isn't getting any younger if he wants to be the head guy. How successful he can be at TAM-CC remains to be seen, but I wish him well. A really good guy.

Makes you wonder if Coach Gross and Coach Dollar weren't convince 3G was moving on and they decided to be pro-active. OTOH, it could just be coincidental that Coach Dollar had the opporunity to return to his home town and Coach Gross with his 1st head coaching stint.

Gross isn't taking a HC position. My guess is he'll be the lead assistant.

He obviously has a great relationship with the HC and maybe wanted to get back closer to home. It's obvious that he's never really wanted to be a HC. I hope aTm-CC is successful.
