  • Why a Friday night game?

Just curious, why in the hell did the shox schedule a Friday night game? You are the only college in town and you know City League, hell basically every league in the state plays high school ball on a Friday.
You are getting nobody at this game that is involved in high school basketball (recruits, high school teachers, parents, coaches, or players.) What is wrong with waiting 15 hours and playing a Saturday morning game or something?

Also 60k seems like a pretty high price to pay for UTA. Teams from that conference are going for around 40k. No biggie there, just looking for clarification.

Dont worry shock fans the shots will start falling.

One person you thought would have been there last night was....Gene. Wouldn't one think that if you are giving your major donor to your practice facitily a momento for donating 1.2 mil, that you might want to be there to show your appreciation?

        You raise very good questions.

Playing on Friday night also dillutes the local media coverage of the game. Playing on Saturday, the Shocks are the big story and get more minutes on all the local media.

Playing on Friday night, the Shocks had to share coverage with high school basketball, which is the big story on Fridays.

60 K for a loss... What a bargain. Can we use that 60K to instead ship Gal out? It would be money much better spent.

Because Marshall is a god and he knew Saturday was going to be dangerous with the ice storm - so he had the game scheduled for Friday.

So that puts us up $20k and we got a #8 ranking out of the deal....Don't know any teams who can say that, not even in the Big 12.
