Well, apparently it's still up in the air.
George Mason officially granted Miami permission to speak with head coach Jim Larranaga late Thursday night, GMU athletic director Tom O'Connor confirmed to ESPN.com.
I guess the big rub for Coach L is that a lot of promises were made by the Administration after their Final 4 run to up grade the program and most has gone wanting, especially after Coach L had turned down his alma mater to stay at GM. The feeling was that the Admin thought he would stay until he retired and now they didn't need to put out. With the GM's meetings with thier coach today, they may have changed their tune to get him to stay.

Interesting. If the University promised him things and then didn't follow through I understand him being a little upset and could see that as a reason to leave. However, I'd hate to see him leave Mason for Miami. I don't know what he's getting paid, but Miami, from all accounts, isn't looking to pay a whole lot.
Our Mason friends deserve better than to lose their coach this late in the game to Miami of all places.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan
RIP Guy Always A Shocker
Carpenter Place - A blessing to many young girls/women
ICT S.O.S - Great local cause fighting against human trafficking
Wartick Insurance Agency - Saved me money with more coverage.
Save Shocker Sports - A rallying cry

Parrish's Twitter:I'm told it got "nasty" between Jim Larranaga and athletic director Tom O'Connor at the end. Both egos played a role in this happening.
