As much as I respect Don Hall and his career, I think it is time to move on to someone with a little more energy and pizzazz. Someone who can match the crowd’s intensity or help to raise it.

If a majority of those in attendance are OK with the promotions and/or those promotions provide a reasonable financial benefit to Shocker athletics, I'm perfectly good with them with one caveat. Please get them over quickly and have the band rev up the crowd before play starts again as often as possible.

Perhaps, as the season goes along, SN posters going to other AAC venues can let us know whether they, too, do these promotions (assuming they can even get the sponsors). We may find "they reek of AAC".

They 100% occur at every Memphis Tigers game I have been to down here and happened at most games at AFH in Lawrence. The amount of promotions decreased for the bigger games (logisitcally gets too challenging).

The mountains are calling, and I must go.

I personally like the one (NOT) that has someone trying to make a half-court shot and do pushups with every miss. The basketball is heavy enough to throw half-court let alone trying to make the basket and to add insult to injury, when you miss you have to do three pushups before you can try again - ALL WITHIN 30 SECONDS. Talk about wearing your contestant down. I really hope that whatever prize they get if anyone EVER gets the basket is better than a quarter-pounder or a chicken sandwich.
