Here's the deal. This Exhibition game will be a charity game toward the National Hurricane Relief Fund which is a great cause. We play Newman at 7-p.m. this coming Monday Night at home. R.J. Allen and his Jets play in the Heartland Conference in the NCAA Div.2 and had a record of 9-19 last Season. I wish the very best for former Coach Mark Potter.
The Shocks looked good out of the gate and the first half tonight but let's just say Coach Marshall was not delighted of their showing in the second half. This will be addressed and fine tuned as the Shocks get ready to go live this coming Friday. Will L.S. play? Stay tuned. Look for Shaq and Willis to lead the bigs. SHJ and Frankamp looked tough at times tonight as Austin and Malone gave them some back-up minutes. Let's just hope LS and MM are healthy and ready to go full throttle by 2nd Semester. Once we get everybody healthy, we look to be every bit as good as projected.
Have you ever tried to play a violin with loosey goosey strings? I know I haven't, but I reckon it would be similar to facing this fine-tuned, parsimonious Shocker Defense which opponents find that scoring is as problematic and painful as pulling hens teeth. Let's hope our entry passes are crisper and accurate to our bigs in this game because that looked vulnerable tonight. That's what Exhibition games are for is to identify issues and begin the process of correcting them.
Allen and The Jets------------------49
Marshall Law and the Shocks--100
