Interesting. I would sure liked to have looked at the numbers for TM and a few other Valley players to get a better feel for how it worked.

As a note, when looking at all Valley players who played at least 40% of the time, WSU's balanced attack really shone through. Of the top Offensive Rated Players, 5 of the top 8 and 6 of the top 11 Valley players were Shox.

Toure is not consistent enough to garner POY accolades at this time. Also, most POY candidates don't lead their respective teams in turnovers.

      Just sayin'.

Probably shows a bit why Toure' was 2nd team All MVC, instead of transferring, as so many on this fine forum wished.

In addition to my penny stock holdings in EO, I will be purchasing all the TM4 I can get my hands on this summer.

Sorry I bought all outstanding shares. I'd trade a few for some of Stutz' though since you cornered that market.

God I hope so. He is a hell of a player and a good guy. I'll gladly take any shocker being PoY but I'd love to see it go to either him or Stutz.

If he puts up POY numbers next year we won't be worrying about the bubble, we'll be a single digit seed.

Love him on defense and in the fast break. His jump shot and drives along the sideline make me cringe. If works on his shot he could be POY.

There is a good chance he won't be MVP of his won team.

If you don't realize what a special player You're is you haven't been paying attention. He is on pace to be a top 10-15 scorer in WSU history, top 3 in steals, top 3 in assists, and among the best rebounders among guards. Take that on top of being an outstanding defender, and you have a special player. People tend to take his contributions for granted and only mention him when he struggles, which is unfortunate.

He makes good plays and he makes bad plays. When you do more good than bad, you got a good player. When you do more bad than good, you have a bad player. When the good balances out with the bad, you have a mediocre player. Unfortunately, I haven't seen a lot of games for TM where the good outweighs the bad. That's not saying he doesn't try his hardest and give it his all, but it is, what it is.

Just as you Hatter have decided to list all the positives he has going for him, there is a nearly equal list of negatives to go along with em.

Toure is a good pickpocket defender. He can make those really good swipes at the ball and end up with a lot of steals. However, he does get beat off the dribble quite a bit. I guess it depends on what aspect of defense you are talking about.

So let's see. He is going to end up top 3 all time in WSU history in assists and on the negative side he will end up bottom 3 in what? He is going to end up top 3 all time in WSU history in steals and he will end up in a second category bottom 3 all time in what? He will be a top 15 all time scorer in WSU history and will end up bottom 15 in what category?

Toure may have his flaws but there is no way that the list of his negatives is nearly equal to his positives.

Based on his Sagarin rankings, etc. Toure mostly did much more good than bad. He did have some games where he disappeared in the clutch, which was his biggest strength early in his career. That was a huge dissapointment. He had key turnovers and defensive lapses (against the opponents best guard, no matter what size), and he played out of position at PG for a third of the season. He really is a special player, and the best player thus far in the Marshall era!
