I know he doesn't have connections in the south, but Ryan Martin is at Northern Colorado. I think he could help us in Kansas City where we've only had success with Garrett but have offered several players.

That's a fair point. I'd always kind of hoped we'd have gone after Woodberry when he was available.

        L J Goolsby ????

I've been away on a business trip for the past few days. When I left, MSU hadn't re-hired Woodberry yet. The players and fans at MSU really like SW.

Matt has always been one of my favorite players, but I don't think he has enough experience yet to be an assistant here. I would think that maybe Ryan Martin might be a little more qualified, and is an interesting proposition.

I liked Coach Dollar when we hired him. I thought he was a good hire at the time, and he had a real good bio. I hate to see him go, but such is the coaching world. He is probably anxious to go back to his roots in Georgia.

We still need someone who can recruit the Southeastern part of the country though. What does everyone think about Devon Smith's chances of switching from Manager of Player Development to an Assistant Coach? Is it feasible?

I got another proposition for ya, if Devon became an assistant, what about Danny Manning for Manager of Player Development, he could really help with big man development???

Smith was at Louisville so probably knows the Southeast some. I'm guessing we could only pull Manning from KU for the head coaching position, which is not open. :D

              Is he not available now?

I thought he was brought on by Lusk to stay there. Maybe that was just what the fans wanted...

As of yesterday, the word is a final decision has not been made about Woodbury staying at MSU. He's still there and recruiting for them. It's possible a handshake has been made but the details haven't been worked out.

Most coaches are potentially available if they are interested in what you offer them.

Woodberry seems to be staying at Missouri State:

Has he ever been available when we have had an opening?

                          Tweet from Paul Sullentrop:

"WSU assistant coach Chad Dollar took a job at Georgia Tech this morning. He called winning the NIT the highlight of his career so far."

Great article. Dollar's whole family is basketball crazy. Sounds like he is an excellent fit at Georgia Tech.

                                Good luck!

Now why don't you encourage your boss to schedule Wichita State as a home and home?

Perhaps you to will be afraid that we will kick your @$$ all the way back to Georgia!

If you are thinking this is a challenge of your manhood...you are right! If you are thinking I/we are afraid of you, you are wrong!

Good luck going forward, now let's see if you have any infuence with your new boss about toughening up a team!

Good luck Chad...don't forget where you came from...whether it's the south or the folks in Wichita who helped you get back! :goshocks:
