Makes room to hire Perry Ellis' father! LOL

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Sorry - don't think that's even funny. This isn't KU. I'm wondering what brought this about. Homesickness, conflict with existing coaching staff, money, just wants a change? Anyone have any idea.

His dad is a very successful coach at the high school level in Georgia. I think he recruits Georgia very well. I'm sure he was pursued by the new Georgia Tech coach.

He's a signed LOI kid. This late in the game I think Cotton remains a Shocker, at least this year. It might be different if GT was also recruiting him, but they weren't.

Wasn't he also responsible for landing Carl Hall?

Well, Carl Hall is from Georgia, so I'd say that's probably an affirmative, Dan.

I'd hate to se Dollar leave for Georgia Tech.

Coach Dollar was the recruiter that landed Hall.

As I said in another thread, I hope the Administration is not only shoring up Mashall's contract, but that of the other coaching staff. Hopefully, its a matter of money and not logistics, but we'll see. With my limited knowledge, it seems Coach Dollar would definitely be a big loss.

WSU immediately started recruiting Hall when they saw him at Hutch in 2010. When Grant left the staff, Dollar was assigned as the main recruiter for Hall.

Sounds like Dollar is a good man, and we'd hate to lose him. However, if we do I have complete confidence in HC3G finding an equitable replacement, especially with the national attention we are getting.

You couldn't blame Dollar for going if he does do so. Tech can be a pretty good place and it's in the heart of his "territory" as a recruiter.

With that said, I'd love for him to stay here, but if he leaves, I'd expect Marshall will find someone else with southern connections.

                              This.

We were in on Hall long before Coach Dollar arrived.

Consistency is important to success, but with where our program is, and what we pay, and what benefits come along with being an assistant here, if Coach Dollar chooses to move on, Coach Marshall will have ZERO shortage of resumes from which to choose.
