Has a Duke assistant ever had any success? I'm sure there's at least one, but you always here about how poorly they've done when given a chance.
Dont judge by Quinn Synder- this guys got skills 8) :posterwsu:
How do we know?
Seriously how can you possibly know anything about this guy with his background? How does being an assistant at Duke translate into doing anything at WSU?
He may very well be a great head coach some day. I would rather somebody else take a gamble on him. He isn't going to have McD's sitting on the bench at WSU. So his experience doesn't really translate into anything here.
Jans is the only assistant I would feel good about. For two reasons, he knows the Valley inside and out, and he has at least coached and done it well at a lower college level. If not hopefully WSU finds somebody that is currently coaching at a slightly lower level league and has been successful.
I agree. If we're going the assistant route, I want Jans. I wouldn't be against hiring a head coach from somewhere else though.
Why do people want Knight? Just because he scheduled us and seems like a stand-up guy? He didn't show me much at TT on the court.
Midwest roots, good name, solid coach. Can't blame the guy for not being more successful at Tech. It's probably the hardest place to recruit/coach in the Big 12.
