        Who is this guy? :posterwsu:

He's the beat writer for A&M in the Houston Chronicle.

He lists Pastner, Marshall, Sadler and Boyle on the short list in today's article.

I don't use twitter enough to be able to follow all the retweets, but if he's the original source then...........

This is just something I've dreamed up while thinking about coaching changes, but it seems that most AD's jump the gun and fire/force a resignation during the season. If they were to wait a few weeks until after all the flury, then coaches have a chance to think through any potential moves.

For example, at Maryland, Williams retired at least a full month after the season, and the school now had the chance to interview a completely different cast of potential replacements than everyone else searching for a coach.

Texas A&M now has a much better shot at landing somebody with a great resume, since they are only competing against themselves instead of 12 other schools.

You could also argue that the best available for the season are now off the market and you're looking at a list of less desireable candidates than you would have been a month ago. I can also really hurt from the recruiting side if kids bail and the coach has little time to recover them or find replacements.

If that's the short list, I'd like to see what #'s 5-10 are. Unfortunately, all those choices are longshots at best, or bad choices in the case of Doc Sadler - I don't see the fascination there. They just need to promote Spinelli for the sake of keeping the momentum going and see how that shakes out.

                      That sounds fishy to me.

Please no. The valley needs a good year and no coaching drama.

They lose Alehegbe (spelling way off) plus nobody to speak of to play down low. Not sure it matters if J is coaching them or not next year.
