      +1,000

He has gone unnoticed his whole career. He will be truly missed next year.
Isn't that right? And I knew the whole time as I was taking out frustrations on this or that Shocker guy, that Ellis was keeping himself mud-slinging free.. all season long.

We always appreciate a Senior that finishes his last Season strong, showing improvement. AE did that on BOTH SIDES OF THE COURT. NO, don't redshirt AE because we needed him all Season long!!!

I think the biggest question coming into next season will be how much has Orupke improved. Imagine having "Twin Towers" dominate in Wichita. Our potential would be unlimited because we definitely have the supporting cast, pg Ragland check, sg Kyles/Murray check, sf Smith check.
Shocker fan for life after witnessing my first game in person, the 80-74 win over the #12 Creighton Bluejays at the Kansas Coliseum.

we're gona miss Ellis and Gabe Blair more than people think. Yes we have Carl Hall coming in, but we also lose JT. CH can't replace 3 guys. Gabe always came up witht he big rebound or blocked shot when we needed it. We need more big bodies next year big time.

I still would not mind signing 1 more solid big. If we sign still another player, I just want the very best player we can get. I really think Coach Marshall will stay. Now that would really be somethin groovy to dig on.

This isn't necessarily posted to address next year, at least as far as the product that will hit the floor.

I hope next year sees the opening of doors.............to our own recruiting backyard.

Although I post full of hope, I am (alas) a realist.

The Final 4 Team we fielded had several players from our fine City and State.

Another aspect to the season in retrospect: Gabe Blair came on late and added an air of intimidation that was near invaluable to this team.

Not only intimidation, but I think Gabe just plain energized this team as the season wound down. At times, it looked like he was the only one who came to play. Eventually, the rest followed his example. And the result was what we witnessed tonight.

Even on nights that Mr. Hatch was off on offense, he still was hustling on D., and at times guarding some of our opponents best players.

Looking at it in retrosapect, the Shockers ran thru the NIT just like they ran thru the MVC road schedule this year.

Hatch had a great night, no doubt.

I haven't updated it yet, but Hatch had a 0.659 Prouty Rating for the game, his best single game rating.
