  • The Shocker Season in retrospect and looking forward

The Shocks improved, winning 29 which was a record. The best is yet to come? Discuss.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

It is what it is. We should be proud and move forward to next year. There are a lot of programs that have never, NEVER, won 29 games. Next year 30 or more.

We won't duplicate 29 next season, unless Hall makes an immediate impact and averages 12 - 14 ppg and Stutz all of a sudden improves his quickness and agility 10 fold. Kyle, Ragland and Murry I hope show improvement. At the very least, an NIT appearance will be made.

We lose 4 key Seniors, 3 key bigs and the NIT MVP at the Garden. We return some solid Juniors with re-enforcements forthcoming.

If we don't duplicate 29 next season it will be because we have lost a heartbreaker in the NCAA and didn't get as many games to play.

This year we had 2.5 seniors starting. Next year we have 4.5. We will be better next year, but less deep.

I'm not worried about next year. Just you wait and see. This is about a program not a team.

I criticised the Shox hard at times this year (after first pumping them as much or more than anybody).. but I never criticised Aaron Ellis.

                  Undefeated season, NCAA champs!!!

(Okay, I'm on a post-NIT-championship high, I'll scale it back in a day or two, after I'm done celebrating.)

Enjoy the moment this year guys. Worry about next year later.

I have to believe the Shockers will be better next year. I really like the way Ragland and Stutz have played lately and think we will play better not having as much depth as we had this year. We are losing some seniors but I don't see a drop off in talent.

Who knows, we may have another key recruit or 2 to sign in the near future which will assist our depth. All 6 key players returning of the 10 will hopefully improve not to mention--- :poster_eo: :drum: :poster_eo:

He has gone unnoticed his whole career. He will be truly missed next year.

He was as good of a role player as you can have. He never tried to do something he shouldn't and what a way to end your college career. He had a special night tonight.
